    NBA roundup

    Cavaliers 109, Knicks 102

Mo Williams scored 23 points, including the tying basket late in regulation and six points in overtime, and Cleveland snapped a 10-game losing streak with a victory over New York Saturday night.

Antawn Jamison, who added 21 points, and Anderson Varejao each made two baskets in the extra session as Cleveland broke its longest losing streak since the 2002-03 season.

Amare Stoudemire and Raymond Felton each scored 23 points for the Knicks, who have lost three straight after winning 13 of 14. The win was Cleveland's first since beating Memphis on Nov. 27. The Cavaliers had been outscored by an average of 17.5 points during the losing streak. Cleveland has won eight in a row over the Knicks.

    Heat 95, Wizards 94

LeBron James and Chris Bosh got away with contact on Kirk Hinrich on a potential game-winning layup, letting Miami escape with a win over last-place Washington, which nearly pulled off the upset.

The Heat's winning streak now stands at 12. The Wizards have lost seven straight.

Dwyane Wade made a pair of free throws with 7.9 seconds to play to give the Heat their only lead of the fourth quarter. It came after Hinrich made one of two for the Wizards with 13 seconds to go.

    76ers 97, Magic 89

Lou Williams scored 24 points, Andre Iguodala had 21 and Philadelphia beat undermanned Orlando.

Elton Brand finished with 20 points to help Philadelphia to a relatively easy victory on a day the Magic made a pair of blockbuster moves to overhaul their roster.

Dwight Howard had 26 points and 20 rebounds, and Brandon Bass had 18 points for the Magic. Orlando's recent struggles - coupled with rival Miami and Boston's surge atop the Eastern Conference standings - forced the Magic to make the only moves they could to revamp their roster.

    NOTES

    Magic add Arenas, Turkoglu, Richardson

The Orlando Magic acquired troubled guard Gilbert Arenas from the Washington Wizards and Hedo Turkoglu and Jason Richardson from the Phoenix Suns in a major roster shakeup.

The Magic announced that they traded forward Rashard Lewis for Arenas. They sent Phoenix guards Vince Carter and Mickael Pietrus and backup center Marcin Gortat. Orlando also received Earl Clark from the Suns.

The overhaul was a major move for a Magic franchise that began the season believing it had all the pieces for its first championship. Instead, Orlando had lost five of its last six games entering Saturday to drop from first to fourth in the Eastern Conference. The slide was magnified by winning streaks of 11 and 12 by rival Miami and Boston, a ripple effect that was enough to force Orlando to overhaul the roster.
