Diligent Stonington High School senior Nancy Inthasit won the Class S state title in the 55-meter dash and as part of the sprint medley relay. She was named The Day's 2022 All-Area Girls' Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year.

East Lyme junior Sydney Sager was named The Day's 2021 All-Area Girls' Lacrosse Player of the Year. A first team all-state pick, Sager finished with 33 goals and 12 assists, but it was her ability to control the midfield which stood out.

Waterford High School freshman Sarah Hage was named The Day's 2021 All-Area Girls' Tennis Player of the Year. She was the ECC champ, dispatching Stonington's Maddie Hamm 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 in a 3-hour, 16-minute match.
