Local roundup: Rox rally to beat Sea Unicorns 7-6
Norwich — The Brockton Rox scored four runs in the eighth inning to rally for a 7-6 victory over the Norwich Sea Unicorns in a Futures Collegiate Baseball League game on Tuesday before 1,907 fans at Dodd Stadium.
Andrew Bianco (New Haven) hit a three-run home for the Sea Unicorns (20-22) while Montville’s Dougie DelaCruz (Mitchell) was 2-for-4 with a double and Jackson Ferrigno was 2-for-5.
Brockton is 15-26.

• Michael Bello (Auburn) hit a two-run single and scored as the Mystic Schooners edged the Ocean City Waves 6-5 on Tuesday night. Pawcatuck’s Kevin Ferrer (UConn) had two hits, a run and an RBI and Tristan McAlister (Mt. St. Mary’s) added an RBI and scored for the Schooners (18-11), who have won eight of their last 10 games.

• Shawn Nadeau pitched a two-hitter and struck out seven as the Clippers edged the Sonics 1-0 on Tuesday night in the ECML. Anthony France scored the game’s only run in the first inning while Rich Cochrane pitched four strong innings for the Sonics.
District 10 softball (8-10)
• Brooke Lloyd had two hits and two runs, Bryn Glidewell had a pair of RBI singles and Kennah Perkins added a two-run single as East Lyme/Salem beat Waterford on Monday night 14-4 to win the District 10 championship. Emma Knowlton had an RBI single and scored, Molly Gault singled and scored and Mikaela Richter scored for East Lyme/Salem, which advanced to the play the District 9 champion in sectional play on Thursday at Elmridge Park in Rocky Hill (6:30 p.m.). Reese Firmin had two hits, including an RBI triple, and two runs for Waterford and Sadie Sylvestrie scored.
