    H.S. roundup: Waterford rolls to 6-0 girls’ soccer win over Fitch

    Waterford — Freshman Adyson Wiseman had two goals an assist as Waterford rolled to a 6-0 girls’ soccer victory over Fitch on Monday night.

    The Lancers led 4-0 halftime.

    Camryn Dickinson added a goal and an assist for Waterford (2-0, Payton Smith had a goal and two assists, Paige Jessuck and Charlotte Jessuck each scored a goal, and Bryn Dickinson and Angeles Pina Rodriguez each added assists.

    Grace Jenkins made 10 saves in goal for the Falcons (1-2).

    In other matches:

    • St. Bernard scored three goals during a four-minute span in the first half on the way to a 5-0 non-league win over Norwich Tech/Holy Family. Sienna Sferrazza, Emily Hernandez, Abbey Egan, Alyssa Lazarou and Chloe Brayman each scored a goal for the Saints (2-1), while Aly Hernandez had two assists and Catherine Hannaford and Imaley Arbieto each had one assist. Avery Sulman had 18 saves in goal for the Warriors (1-1).

    • Sydney Goulding had a goal and an assist as Old Lyme defeated North Branford/Hale-Ray 4-0 in the Shoreline Conference. Goulding scored on a penalty kick for the Wildcats (1-2, 1-1) while Alexis Fenton, Alexis Frascarelli and Beatrice Hunt each added a goal, Kayla O’Leary had an assist and goalie Olivia Kelly made two saves.

    Volleyball

    • Kiera Stewart had 15 assists, two aces and one block to highlight Bacon Academy’s 25-22, 25-13 and 25-14 win over Plainfield. Meghan Walsh added six kills and five digs for the Bobcats (2-0) while Jill Filloramo had five digs.

    • Waterford won its second straight match with a 24-14, 25-7 and 25-20 win over Montville. Lillian Steinhaus finished with 18 assists for the Lancers (2-1) while Emerson Lane added six kills and three digs, Mia Petrini nine digs and four kills, Brielle Kenney five kills and Emma Hall four aces. Zoie Farrar had four aces, two kills and five digs for Montville (1-1) while Ava Collins added four kills and Reagan Buscetto four assists and three digs.

    • Griswold defeated Wheeler 25-7, 25-10 and 25-10 in the season opener for both. Kuranda Ruggiero had 19 assists, four digs, three aces and two kills for the Wolverines while Makayla Neilson added eight kills and two digs, Gretta Dombkowski eight kills, seven digs and four aces, and Katelyn Pasieka 17 service points and two aces. Abby Butremovic had eight digs, Anna Ruggeri seven assists and Michelle Macina five kills for Wheeler.

    • Prince Tech defeated Grasso Tech 25-17, 25-9 and 25-15 in the Connecticut Technical Conference. Jada Murihead had three three service points, two kills and five assists for the Eagles in their season opener while Daneysha Cortes added five points and six assists and Jamilette Montes had three points and two blocks.

    • Goodwin Tech rallied for a 3-1 CTC win over Norwich Tech. Game scores wee 18-25, 25-15, 25-16 and 25-20. Kaylee Gray had 10 kills, 11 digs and two aces for the Warriors (0-3, 0-1) while Caitlyn Flynn had 11 digs and Autumn Hanks 13 assists and two kills.

    Field hockey

    • Faith Foltz converted a pass from Gracie Lloyd for the game’s only goal as East Lyme opened its season with a 1-0 victory over Waterford in the Eastern Connecticut Conference. Jaci Felix recorded the shutout in goal for the Vikings. Waterford is 0-2, 0-1.
