Killingly — New London clinched at least a share of the Eastern Connecticut Conference Division II girls’ basketball championship with a 45-38 victory over Killingly on Monday night.

The Whalers (12-5, 5-0) can win the title outright with a win at Bacon Academy on Wednesday night.

Nalyce Dudley had another big game for New London with 27 points and 16 rebounds while sister Nyarah Dudley added eight points and 12 rebounds and Joy Schneider had eight rebounds.

In other games:

• Bacon made its first six shots and build a 13-0 lead on the way to a 46-31 victory over Norwich Free Academy. Marissa Nudd had 20 points and nine rebounds to lead the Bobcats (15-3) while Cara Shea added nine points, four assists and five steals and Alannah Baehr finished with seven points, seven rebounds and four steals. Emily Orcutt scored nine points and Brooke Bolles seven for the Wildcats (8-10).

• Mariette El Khoury led a balanced attack with 16 points as Fitch outlasted Ledyard 60-52. Gabby Dimmock added 15 points and Dre’Ana Singleton 14 for the Falcons (11-7). Kieara Kirvin scored a game-high 22 points for the Colonels (10-8) and Adrianna Hardison added 14.

• Adriana Straineri scored 18 points as Westbrook defeated Old Lyme 39-21 in the Shoreline Conference. Ava Roth scored 12 points to lead the Wildcats (1-15, 1-13).

• Rocky Hill (R.I.) defeated Williams School 59-19. Marlee Anselmi led the Blues with eight points while Lucy Fader added six and Amaya Butler four.

H.S. gymnastics

• NFA freshman Trinity Ambruso tied for first on the balance beam (9.5) points as the Wildcats split an ECC meet with Woodstock Academy and Killingly. Woodstock won the meet with 136.15 points while the Wildcats (4-4, 2-4) finished with 133.55 and Killingly had 128.7. Ambruso also set a personal best in the all-around (37.35) as did teammate Sarah Fedeli (32.1). Woodstock’s won the all-around with 37.45 points.

• Lydia Laskey won three individual events on her way to winning the all-around title with 35.9 points as Stonington defeated Glastonbury 133.4-128.8. Laskey won the bars (8.6), beam (9.35) and floor (9.45) for the Bears (11-5) and teammate Mary Lord captured the vault (8.6). Fitch’s Emma Robinson, a team of one, finished second in the all-around (33.6) and Lord finished third (33.0).

H.S. boys’ basketball

• Keith Zardies had a triple-double — 13 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists — and Deondre Bransford had 19 points and seven rebounds as Wheeler defeated Stonington 68-58. Zane Brewer and Kyle Kessler added 14 points apiece for the Lions (12-4) while Robbie Scarello scored 18 points and Luke Lowry 14 for the Bears (7-9).

• Old Lyme overcame 17 turnovers to beat Westbrook 46-33 in the Shoreline Conference. Caden Monte scored 18 points for the Wildcats (5-10, 5-9) and Calvin Monte finished with 11 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.

• Lebron Maurice scored a game-high 32 points as Montville improved to 6-8 with a 66-58 victory over Plainfield.

H.S. wrestling

• New London finished its regular season with a 47-28 victory over Griswold/Wheeler. Ruben Rivera (113), Christian Ortiz (152), Jhandel Marichal (182) and Kaiden Smith (220) had pins for the Whalers (8-2) while Kanye Nance (160), Trevin Robledo Thompson (170) and Demarcus Green (285) each won by major decision. Cody Comeau (126), Ethan Sweet (132), Jeffrey Bentley (138) and Rylee Kenny (145) had consecutive pins for the Wolverines (14-11).

Men’s basketball

• Mitchell College won its eighth straight with an 85-66 non-league win over Fitchburg State. Alonzo Stokes scored a game-high 22 points and added seven rebounds for the Mariners (18-3) while Waterford’s Mikey Buscetto added 14 points, nine assists and three steals, Wilton Causey had 12 points and Ahmani Browne added 11.

College honors

• Buscetto was named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in men’s basketball for the second time this season. Buscetto averaged 21.0 points and 6.5 assists and 5.0 steals during a pair of wins while shooting 47.2% from the floor.

• Mitchell senior Sam McKenna was named NECC Player of the Week in women’s basketball for the second time this season. McKenna averaged 32.5 points and 4.5 assists during a 2-0 week for the Mariners, including a career-high 36 points with eight 3-pointers in a win over Anna Maria.

• Connecticut College senior forward Brett Moccia was named New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week in men’s hockey. Moccia scored a pair of power-play goals and added two assists during a weekend sweep of Tufts, and had a goal and three assists during a non-league win over Salem State earlier in the week.
