Niantic Bay Playhouse opens ‘Annie Jr.’

The Niantic Bay Playhouse hosts its first musical comedy starting Friday. The former Niantic Cinema site became the home for East Lyme Regional Theater earlier this year, and ELRT is staging “Annie Jr.” as its first production.

The cast features children, and the story and songs are from the iconic musical “Annie.” Performers include Rhyan Sousa and Madelynn Justice as Annie, Jane Campbell and Molly Cooper as Miss Hannigan, and Cameron D’Ettore and Croix Demars as Oliver Warbucks.

Erin Sousa-Stanley, who is founder and artistic director of ELRT, directs.
