The Ledyard Class of 2024 will hold a murder mystery dinner theater fundraiser May 18 at the Thames Club in New London.

The event, which will raise funds to help pay for the senior class trip, is open to the public.

The show, titled “Fatal Reunion: Darwin, Deception & Death!” and written and directed by Anna Maria Trusky, is set at the 20th reunion of the Class of '04 from the Charles Darwin High School for the Evolutionarily Gifted. The cast will feature students’ (least) favorite English teacher Darwinia Smythe-Darwin, lovable, long-suffering athletic coach Ned Lassoo, and four zany classmates, Marie Curious, Heady LeMars, Nicky Tesla, and Jay-Bob Oppenheimer. One of them will be murdered, and the audience will help solve the crime.

The cast includes Michael Vernon Davis, Nathan Rumney, Evan Brown, Caryn Mickle Brown, and Amanda Flynn Rumney.

The evening consists of a cocktail hour from 5 to 6 p.m., and then dinner at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $75 and include appetizers, dinner, dessert, and show. There will also be a cash bar.
