Mass to be held for Manchester shooting victims
Manchester (AP) — Family and friends will be gathering to remember victims of the Connecticut beer distributor shootings that left nine people dead and two injured.
A Mass has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Margaret Mary Church in South Windsor.
Officials at Hartford Distributors say 34-year-old company driver Omar Thornton opened fire inside the Manchester warehouse Tuesday morning after agreeing to resign when confronted with a video of him stealing beer.
Relatives said Thornton, who is black, had been upset by racial harassment, but company officials denied the allegations.
Authorities say Thornton killed himself after shooting 10 people, two of whom survived.
