Storrs - A committee searching for the next president of the University of Connecticut has picked its three top choices. University officials say a field of 10 semi-finalists was narrowed down last week to three finalists, and that the university's Board of Trustees will make the final choice. The date for that decision has not been determined. Interim President Philip Austin has been leading UConn since June 11 and will stay on until the new president starts his or her tenure. That person will succeed Michael Hogan, who left to become president of the University of Illinois.
