Conservation grants available
The USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service in Connecticut has announced the availability of Conservation Innovation Grants to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies.
About $176,000 in grants is expected to be available this year. Applications are requested from eligible governmental or non-governmental organizations or individuals for projects between 1-3 years in duration. The program was created to offer funding dedicated to the adoption of technologies to address a range of agricultural issues including improving water quality, air quality, and promoting energy conservation.
