HARWINTON, Conn. — A cow that fell through the cover of a swimming pool in Harwinton has been pulled to safety by about a dozen people using heavy ropes.
Officials say volunteer firefighters were called to the home on Sunday evening after the cow wandered to the in-ground pool and fell through its covering.
Officials say the cow walked around and appeared unhurt after it was pulled free.
The Harwinton Volunteer Fire Department has posted photos of the rescue effort to its Facebook page.
