A 23-year-old seriously injured in one-car crash in Hebron

A 23-year-old was seriously injured in a one-car crash in Hebron late Monday, state police said.

Eric Charles Saunders was headed south on his street, Wall Street, when his 2004 Ford Super Duty F-350 pickup truck veered off the right shoulder and struck a large tree, they said. The crash happened shortly before 11:40 a.m., just north of Loveland Road.

Police said they don’t know why the truck went off the road.

Saunders was taken to Hartford Hospital to be treated for injuries that troopers said seemed serious.
