A diverse line-up at Foxwoods this week
It's week two of the Foxwoods' 25th anniversary celebration, and the entertainment keeps on rolling out in a festively appropriate way.
Who's on deck this week?
Leading the way is rock legend John Fogerty, with a set list mixing his solo and Creedence Clearwater Revival tunes. He is in concert Thursday at the Grand Theater. Thursday, too, R&B singer Ashanti and rapper Ja Rule, who collaborated on "Always on Time" and "Mesmerize" and had plenty of hits separately, will co-headline a gig in the Fox Theater. The duo will make two nights of it, performing again on Friday.
Two free shows are on tap, with the Atrium hosting Morris Day and the Time, fresh off their Prince-tribute Grammy performance, on Friday and Taylor Dayne ("Tell It to My Heart," "I'll Always Love You") on Saturday.
And on Sunday, KC and the Sunshine Band put on their boogie shoes in the Fox Theater. You know you'll hear all those disco-era earworms, like "That's the Way (I Like It)" and "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty."
