    Association of Realtors announces annual award winners

    Norwich — The Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors held its annual awards banquet on Wednesday, celebrating the work and achievements of local Realtors.

    Greg Hanner of Garden Realty was named Realtor of the year. He is a member of the ECAR Honor Society and made the 2018 Master Sales Club, and is an award-winning custom home builder.

    Anne Bishop Ogden, a mortgage salesperson for Total Mortgage, was named affiliate of the year. Ogden does advertising for Decorator's Dock, and has served on the Waterford Board of Education and the Waterford Rotary Club.

    Stephanie DeBiasi of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services was named rookie of the year. Since joining ECAR in December of 2016, she has served on the tech, housing and community outreach, and member services committees.

    Molly Bruno of William Pitt Sotheby’s International in Old Lyme was named ECAR's Young Professional of the Year. She is the chair of the Young Professional Network Committee at the agency, and has volunteered with the American Cancer Society and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, according to the release announcing the awards. She also supports veterans and military members.

    Carol Christiansen of Re/Max Realty Group in Gales Ferry is ECAR's nominee for the Realtor of the year through Connecticut Realtors. A past ECAR president and Realtor of the year, she has been active in the group for more than 20 years.
