Groton City Day is Friday

The annual Groton City Day will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Washington Park. The family event includes music, displays from city departments and organizations, activities, rides, food and the presentation of the annual Volunteer of the Year Award. Children can participate in laser tag, bungee bouncing, a rock climbing wall, Big Daddy Racing, a photo booth and face painting. The Groton Lodge of Elks will distribute free bike helmets.

Washington Park is located off Mitchell Street.
