You certainly recognize Ed Begley, Jr., as an actor. Maybe as Dr. Victor Ehrlich on "St. Elsewhere." Or as Clifford Main on "Better Call Saul."

Or for his turns on "Portlandia" and in "This Is Spinal Tap."

Begley, though, has become just as well-known for his environmental activitism. Heck, Begley rode a bike to the Oscars last year. He and his family had their own web series about their efforts to build "the greenest, most sustainable home in North America."

Begley will be at Aiki Farms in Ledyard on Sunday for "In the Spirit of the Sun," which raises funds for the N.E. Organic Farming Association of Connecticut and Connecticut Families Against Chemical Trespass.

The day includes a gourmet meal from a chef from Water Street Café in Stonington, with music by The Root Farmers and Lovely Previn, who is the fiddler daughter of conductor-composer Andre Previn. Mystic Paper Beasts will provide roving entertainment.

Events begin at 11, with the meal served sometime around 1 p.m.

Aiki Farms, 11 a.m. Sunday, 769 Shewville Road, Ledyard; tickets $30 adults, $10 ages 18 and under, free for kids under 10; aiki.ledyard@gmail.com.
