I have known Heather Somers for over 10 years and worked closely with her on the Groton Town Council. When I first ran for office in '07 Heather was there to help me knock on doors and show me the ropes. As the mayor of Groton, Heather was always fair, balanced and sought input from all viewpoints and citizens of the town. She always went the extra mile, engaging and involved in all aspects of the town. 

I am now the mayor of Groton and I fully support Heather in her efforts to improve the lives of the citizens in Connecticut.

The unethical tactics of the Bowles campaign against Heather are deeply offensive. They are a misrepresentation to all the citizens of the 18th District who quite frankly, deserve better. I cannot imagine working with someone like Tim Bowles, who seems to be willing to do anything to be elected as a means to an end.

We need representatives in Hartford who are independent thinkers, business minded and not part of the political establishment. As the mayor, I urge all 18th District voters to join with me and cast your vote for Heather Somers for state Senate.
