New London — The school district will hold a budget forum at 6 p.m. Tuesday to discuss the district’s vision for the future and budget priorities for the 2018-19 school year.
Interim school Superintendent Stephen Tracy last week presented the Board of Education with a proposed budget of $69.7 million. The proposal calls for a 4.3 percent increase from the current budget and would require a $45.4 million request to the city, a 7 percent increase. The school board is expected to adopt a budget as early as March 8.
Tuesday’s meeting will be held at the Science & Technology Magnet High School.
