Bank robbery reported in Norwich

Norwich — Police are investigating the robbery of the Dime Bank on West Town Street.

The robbery was reported at about 12:45 p.m. Police believe the suspect fled in a stolen black 1994 GMC Jimmy.

Police said they are looking at whether Friday's robber is the same person, identified as Richard Love, of Groton, who allegedly robbed the Citizens Bank branch at 23 Broadway Ave. in Stonington Tuesday and the Core Plus Federal Credit Union branch last Friday at 125 Boston Post Road in East Lyme.

Love is also wanted by police in Richmond, R.I., in connection with the Sept. 24 robbery at the Citizens Bank branch at the Stop & Shop in the Wyoming section of town.
