Stonington — Police have identified the person who was discovered in a wood chipper on the Ogden Farm property Thursday afternoon as 72-year-old Nicholas M. Reardon of 54 Harborview Terrace.

Police said Reardon, owner of Landscape Unlimited, also in town, was partially pulled into the wood chipper.

He was discovered about 2:55 p.m. on the South Anguilla Road property.

Stonington Police Capt. Todd Olson said Reardon's death appears to be an accident. He said Reardon was working alone at the time of the incident.
