Sprague — A Norwich man died Sunday night after he was thrown from his motorcycle and into a pole off Main Street in Baltic, according to state police.

Police said Gregory Cruz, 22, of 99 Cedar St., Apt. B2, was traveling westbound on Main Street near River Street not long before 11 p.m. when his 2009 Harley-Davidson Night Rod hit the curb. As the motorcycle continued off the roadway, police said, Cruz was ejected and then collided with the pole.

Emergency personnel pronounced Cruz dead at the scene.
