Groton — City police are reporting a recent rash of stolen motor scooters.

Police said there have been six or seven incidents of theft over the past three weeks. 

Most recently, on Monday, a resident reported a scooter that was stolen from the resident's yard while at work. On Sunday, another resident also reported a missing moped.

Police recommend residents chain their motor scooters or keep the vehicles in their garages.
