Mystic Seaport hosts Lobster Days
Memorial Day weekend means all sorts of activities - an abundance of parades, of course, and the sparkling beginning of summer festivities.
In southeastern Connecticut, it also means Lobster Days at Mystic Seaport.
During the event, hosted with the Mystic Rotary Club, visitors can enjoy lobsters-in-the-rough while sitting on the banks of the Mystic River, under the seaport's open-air Boat Shed. In addition to lobster (or twin lobster, for those who want to go that route), diners can nosh on coleslaw and corn on the cob and sip lemonade or iced tea.
Lobster Days benefits the Rotary Club's community organizations and projects.
Lobster Days, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sat.-Mon., Mystic Seaport, Route 27; $25 for a single lobster dinner (member price $23), and museum admission required; combo tickets, which include museum admission and a lobster dinner, include $44 for an adult museum ticket and single lobster dinner; (860) 572-0711.
