Motorcyclist sustains injuries in New London accident

New London — Police said a motorcyclist was taken to the hospital for injuries he sustained during an accident Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services personnel responded about 3:33 p.m. Tuesday to the accident in the area of Montauk Avenue and Perry Street, and the motorcyclist, a man, was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, according to the police report.

Police accident reconstructionists were investigating. Police ask anyone with information to call the New London police at (860) 447-5269, ext. 0, or submit anonymous information via the New London Tips 411 system by texting NLPDTip plus the information to 847411.

Police said the accident remained under investigation and did not immediately release any further information.
