Actor Brian Dennehy will be the guest of honor at this year’s Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival gala on Saturday, June 4, at Town Hall, 260 Commercial St., Provincetown.

The gala will support this fall’s 11th festival, “Eugene O’Neill and Tennessee Williams: Beyond Success,” with performances from Sept 22 to 25.

Dennehy has portrayed many of O’Neil’s characters, and appeared as Larry in “The Iceman Cometh” as recently as last year at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Following a cocktail hour, dinner and auction, Dennehy will participate in a conversation with Robert M. Dowling of New London, author of “Eugene O’Neill: A Life in Four Acts.” Dowling serves on the editorial board of The Eugene O’Neill Review and the Eugene O’Neill Society board of directors. Dowling also will lead workshops at the festival as a guest professor at the Tennessee Williams Institute.
