Norwich — Festivities to mark the 175th anniversary of the founding of the Yantic Fire Company No. 1 volunteer fire department continued Saturday with an antique firetruck show on Fireman’s Field.

The department, founded in 1847 to protect the Yantic Woolen Mill, invited fire departments from around the region to display their antique and vintage fire apparatus.

The event featured music, food trucks, a cooling spray from a fire hose and apparatuses from as far back as 1849.
