Priscilla Presley talks at Foxwoods
I know what you’re thinking: Priscilla Presley is appearing at Foxwoods’ Grand Cedar Showroom on Saturday. It’s billed as “An Evening with Priscilla Presley.”
But, since she isn’t a singer or a standup comic, what is she actually going to DO?
She’ll apparently be talking about her life. Past version of this “Evening with Priscilla Presley” have included home movies and Presley engaging in a Q&A.
It’s auspicious timing, since the movie “Priscilla,” based on Presley’s 1985 memoir “Elvis and Me,” was released late last year and earned admiring reviews.
And it’s an auspicious location, since Presley has been in southeastern Connecticut before. On X (then Twitter) in 2014, she wrote, “In my very young life I grew up in a small town of Niantic, Connecticut near Mystic.” (Her stepfather was in the military and stationed in Groton for a bit.) There’s fodder for an audience question on Saturday.
