    Two information sessions on regional plan to be held next week

    Two remaining public information sessions for the Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments to present the draft Regional Plan of Conservation and Development will be held next week.

    The plan analyzes the state of the region and proposes goals and strategies for the Council of Governments, member municipalities and partner organizations. Topics addressed include the economy, housing, conservation of open space, resiliency and historic preservation. The draft is available online at http://bit.ly/2l1APjI.

    The information sessions will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Groton Public Library, 52 Newtown Road, Groton; and at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Otis Library, 261 Main St., Norwich.

    A public hearing is planned for 7:30 p.m. April 3 at SCCOG, 5 Connecticut Ave., Norwich. The Council of Governments is expected to consider the plan for adoption at its April or May meeting.
