    Memorial Day parades and activities

    Memorial Day Ceremonies & Parade — 8:45 a.m., assemble at the Saybrook Point Pavilion parking lot for the Dockside Naval Ceremony, College Street, Old Saybrook; 9 a.m., wreath laying ceremony on the Connecticut River; 9 a.m., waterside full naval ritual with rifle salute; 9:30 a.m., parade assembly, Stop & Shop parking lot; 10 a.m., parade begins on Elm Street, goes across Route 1 to Main Street; (860) 395-5550; osfdpr@gmail.com.

    Memorial Day Parade — 9 a.m., Jewett City: opening ceremonies at Fanning Park, then parade will march down Main Street and onto Slater Avenue, ending at Griswold Middle School.

    Memorial Day Celebration — 10 a.m., VFW Post 1265, 160 South Broad St., Pawcatuck; hosted by The Westerly-Pawcatuck Veterans Board of Control; ceremony, guest speaker, lunch; free; for donations contact: dglorybound@aol.com.

    Wreath Laying Ceremony — 10 a.m., Ye Antientest Burial Ground, One Bulkeley Place, New London; members of the Abigail Hinman chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution honor the Revolutionary War Patriots buried at the site.

    Memorial Day Ceremony, Parade and Program — 10 a.m., Howard T. Brown Memorial Park, 100 Chelsea Harbor Drive, Norwich; noon, Memorial Day Parade starting at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, travels down Broadway to Chelsea Parade; 1:30 p.m., Memorial Day program on Chelsea Parade near the war memorials; (860) 608-0472.

    Memorial Day Parade & Services — 11 a.m., Old Lyme; starts at Lyme Street Firehouse and ends at Duck River Cemetery, 3 Bittersweet Lane, Old Lyme.

    Memorial Day Parade — 2 p.m., Niantic; from St. John’s Green on Main Street down Main Street and onto Pennsylvania Avenue, ending at Town Hall.
