Chorus of Westerly performs Beethoven and Haydn works

The Chorus of Westerly is winding down its indoor concert season with shows this weekend. (Don't fret: the group will still present its iconic annual Summer Pops show on June 23 in Wilcox Park.)

Right now, though, the chorus will perform Beethoven's Mass in C Major, his Coriolan Overture, and Haydn's Te Deum No. 2 in C on Saturday and Sunday in its George Kent Performance Hall.

The performance, with Andrew Howell conducting and accompaniment by the Festival Orchestra, features soprano Sherezade Panthaki, mezzo soprano Sophie Michaux, tenor Stefan Reed, and bass Timothy Jones.

The Chorus of Westerly, 6 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, George Kent Performance Hall, 119 High St., Westerly; $23-$65; (401) 596-8863.
