Elvis Costello and Blondie co-headline Sunday at Mohegan Sun

    Elvis Costello (James O'Mara)

What a difference a year makes.

In July of 2018, Elvis Costello canceled the rest of his tour while undergoing cancer treatment.

This July, Costello is healthy and back on the road, thank you very much. He’ll bring his tour to Mohegan Sun for a Sunday concert.

This jaunt features Costello & The Imposters, along with co-headliner Blondie. You know what that means? A night jammed with amazing tunes.

Costello & The Imposters released “Look Now” last year, the first album they had done together since 2008.

Last month, Elvis learned that he was going to be awarded the title of Officer of the Order of the British Empire by the British government for his “services to music. Costello said in a typically wry statement, “To be honest, I’m pretty tickled to receive this acknowledgement for my ‘Services To Music,’ as it confirms my long held suspicion nobody really listens to the words in songs or the outcome might have been somewhat different.”

As for his health, this is how good Costello is feeling: after this run with Blondie, he & The Imposters are following up with their own fall tour. Good to have you back, Elvis.

Elvis Costello & The Imposters, and Blondie, 7 p.m. Sunday, Mohegan Sun Arena; $35-$75; 1-800-745-3000.
