Innovation hub topic of meeting

Local innovators, entrepreneurs and business supporters are invited to a gathering at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Bean & Leaf coffeehouse in New London to discuss results of a survey designed to jump-start an innovation hub in southeastern Connecticut.

Former Pfizer Inc. scientist Jean Schaefer, who is trying to get state funding to help launch new businesses through the proposed Southeastern Connecticut Innovation Ecosystem, conducted the online survey over the past several weeks. The hub would provide expertise to companies and space where entrepreneurs could bounce ideas off one another.
