Man charged in NL robbery
New London— Police have arrested one of two men who they say robbed and assaulted a person in an alleyway of 36 Bank Street early this morning. The victim suffered minor injuries.
After police responded to the scene at 1:18 a.m., a witness pointed to a man walking on Bank Street away from the scene as one of those involved in the assault.
Police then charged Darryl Ladson, 31, of 43 Williams Street, with third-degree assault, second-degree robbery and second-degree larceny. He is being held on a $100,000 bond and will appear in New London Superior Court Monday if he does not make bond.
Police could not locate the other assailant, who was described as a black man. Police ask anyone with information related to the incident to call detectives at (860) 447-1481.
