    Mystic Eats debuts

    All's well that ends well?

The whole kerfuffle over competing fall food festivals in Mystic (dare we call it a food fight?) has come to a fairly peaceful conclusion.

What happened: the Chamber of Commerce was going to move Taste of Mystic from Cottrell Street to Olde Mistick Village, and the downtown merchants were countering with their own Mystic Eats event.

But then, in April, the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Mystic Merchants announced that they were now working together. The end result: the merchants would stage Mystic East Sept. 6-8 on Cottrell Street, while the chamber would do Taste of Mystic in June 2015 in Olde Mistick Village.

Which means twice the deliciousness. We all win!

This weekend, Mystic Eats will boast dishes from such area restaurants as: Oyster Club CT, Kitchen Little at The Mystic River Marina, The Pita Spot, Bravo Bravo Restaurant & Bar, Inn At Mystic/Harbour House Restaurant, and Harp and Hound.
