Man found dead in water at Old Saybrook marina
Old Saybrook — A 72-year-old man who had docked his boat at an Old Saybrook marina was found dead in the water Saturday evening by police.
The man, who police did not identify, was a member of the Brewers Ferry Point Marina, they said in a news release Sunday.
He was reported missing from the marina Saturday. After a search, police found his body under the water near the marina's docks.
Medical personnel took the man to Middlesex Medical Center, Shoreline in Westbrook, where he was pronounced dead.
Old Saybrook police are investigating the man's death, and said based on initial investigation that it may have been accidental.
