Criss Angel's Mindfreak to begin at Foxwoods

He may have walked on water, levitated himself and others, cut himself in half, and he may have even resurrected a dove, oh and not to mention, a man (supposedly), but will Criss Angel manage to keep impressing audiences at Foxwoods?

We think absolutely. He has, after all, built a reputation as one of Foxwoods' resident magicians, coming back to the casino on a near yearly basis since 2014. And his A&E television show “Mindfreak,” which ran for six seasons, has set records and amassed millions of viewers.

So his 90-minute stage production featuring “new, original and heart-stopping illusions,” according to his press release, shouldn’t let up on any of the shock factor that Angel is known for. Thurs. Nov. 2 through Sun. Nov. 5, he’ll perform eight shows of his newest stage act “Mindfreak Live! Starring Criss Angel.” Audiences can expect LED virtual worlds, pyrotechnics and explosions, fire walls, and the world’s most talented specialty artists, combined with Angel’s newest illusions. What those could possibly be, we can’t guess, but we do expect that he will perform one of his "escaping from a straight jacket" tricks while hanging upside down.

    “Mindfreak Live! Starring Criss Angel,” Nov. 2-5; 6 and 9 p.m. Thursday, 6 and 9:30 p.m. Friday, 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday, 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday, and more shows Dec. 14-17, Foxwoods’ Fox Theater; $49-$99; 1-800-200-2882.
