Food festival are almost always awesome. Mystic Eats is one of the better fests happening annually in this region. That’s set to hit up Mystic’s Cottrell Street this weekend and with it, prepare to stuff yourself full with appetizer-sized bites from some of Mystic’s best restaurants.

Over 20 of them will be present, in fact, offering savory and sweet treats to enjoy. Look forward to Angie’s Pizza, Chapter One, Friar Tuck’s Tavern, Grass & Bone, Harbour House, Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream, Pizzetta and plenty more.

And while you’re sampling delicious dishes, you’ll also have the opportunity for some live music. On Friday, that means performances by the Attiks and Sugar; on Saturday, it’s The CarLeans, Chris MacKay & The Tone Shifters, The Fake Experience, The Barley Hoppers and The Troublemakers; and on Sunday, Mystic-native Will Evans and Green Tea will Grace the stage.

    Mystic Eats, 5-9:45 p.m. Fri., 11 a.m.-9:45 p.m. Sat., and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sun., Cottrell Street, Mystic; www.mysticeats.com.
