Driver of motorized scooter sustains minor injuries following collision in Norwich

Norwich — City police said the driver of a motorized scooter sustained minor injuries Tuesday afternoon when a vehicle pulling out of Rosewood Manor collided with him.
Police said the vehicle was leaving Rosewood Manor at 335 Hamilton Ave. when the driver failed to notice a man in a scooter crossing the entrance. In a slow-speed collision, the driver of the scooter was knocked off the scooter and taken to William W. Backus Hospital with minor injuries, police said.
The collision took place at 1:24 p.m. The driver of the vehicle that collided with the scooter was cited for failure to obey a stop sign, police said.
