Mike DiMauro, The Day’s sports columnist and assistant sports editor, has been named a finalist for the Connecticut Sportswriter of the Year Award from the National Sports Media Association.

DiMauro, in his 31st year at The Day, is a former four-time winner of the award.

Other finalists include Dave Borges, Maggie Vanoni and Mike Anthony of Hearst Connecticut Media and Dom Amore and Lori Riley of the Hartford Courant.

Award winners will be announced during the first week of January.
