    Tigers fall 5-2, begin three-game homestand tonight at Dodd

    The Aberdeen IronBirds scored three runs in the fourth inning and beat the Connecticut Tigers 5-2 Sunday in a New York-Penn League game at Ripken Stadium.

    Conor Bierfeldt was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI and Mike Yastrzemski added two RBI for Aberdeen (33-29).

    The Tigers (30-35) were 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position and left 10 runners on base. Steven Negron drove in a run with an infield single in the top of the fourth which tied the game 2-2. Dominic Ficociello picked up two hits.

    The Tigers begin a three-game series at 7:05 tonight against the Hudson Valley Renegades at Dodd Stadium. Right-hander Julio Felix (2-2, 3.98 ERA) will be the starting pitcher for Connecticut.
