    UConn adds frontcourt player

Phil Nolan, a 6-foot-10 forward out of Riverside High School in Milwaukee, has given UConn a verbal commitment.

He announced the news earlier this afternoon on his Twitter account @PhilNolan_1.

Obviously, this is good news for the Huskies who've struggled in the recruiting department due to a 2013 post-season ban.

UConn is shorthanded in the frontcourt after losing Roscoe Smith (transfer), Alex Oriakhi (transfer), Michael Bradley (transfer) and Andre Drummond (NBA draft). Oriakhi will attend Missouri and Bradley is heading to Western Kentucky.

Swingman Jeremy Lamb also left the program to enter the NBA draft.

Nolan visited St. John's, Clemson and Oregon. Checking in at 210 pounds, he'll be spending a lot of time in the weight room once he arrives in Storrs.
