If Aerosmith won’t (or can’t) play, Joe Perry will find other outlets!

He has the Hollywood Vampires with Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp, which is a band in which only Depp actually looks undead – or at least as though the mortuary cosmetician forgot to give Johnny a shampoo and a light applique of any sort of ruddy makeup that might suggest vitality.

But forget Depp! Perry has yet another band – his Joe Perry Project, a group that appears Saturday in the Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods. Ex- Extreme and Van Halen vocalist Gary Cherone more than capably handles the vocal duties, leaving Perry to rock through a barrage of material from the guitarist’s bluesy solo career – along, of course, with some crowd-pleasin’ A-smith tunes.
