Comic Bob Saget brings his standup to Foxwoods Saturday
Do you rent videos from those Redbox kiosks at the grocery store? You probably thought Redbox was a simple and convenient delivery system for your entertainment needs.
But! They're now also a content provider: Yes, Redbox is releasing their first original title Tuesday. It is called "Benjamin" and is an R-rated dark comedy, starring Bob Saget, about a family dealing with their teenage son's drug addiction.
Interestingly, Saget, who has successfully attempted virtually every gig in the vast universe of the entertainment business, is also a Grammy-nominated standup comic who brings his routine Saturday to Foxwoods. His latest comedy special is 2017's "Zero to Sixty," and he's also started a series called "Videos After Dark," which is an edgier version of his iconic "America's Funniest Home Videos" program.
Saget will probably — and amusingly — touch on any and all of these topics during his set. Or he'll just read a list of his career credits, and that'll take an hour, and then he'll leave.
Bob Saget, 8 p.m. Saturday, Fox Theater, Foxwoods; $32-$57; 1-800-200-2882.
