Editor's note: This version updates the fact that the parade has been moved to Sunday.

If you haven’t been to the Niantic Light Parade, you should go on Sunday. Really, it’s great fun.

This is the event’s 31st year, so it’s got to be entertaining to last that long, right?

It’s the longest-running holiday parade in New England. It’s also the largest.

Spectators line the sidewalks of downtown Niantic and cheer on the creatively decorated floats as they motor by and the merrily illuminated musicians and dancers that march the route.

The parade was originally scheduled for Saturday, but, because of rain predicted for that night, it has been moved to 5 p.m. Sunday.
