In March, an anthology called "Waking Up to the Earth — Connecticut Poets in Time of Global Climate Crisis" was published. The book is one aspect of a vision by Connecticut Poet Laureate and Preston resident Margaret Gibson to focus on environmental concerns.

In celebration of the book, the latest in a planned succession of outdoor readings called "Green Cafes" takes place Sunday on the patio of the Mystic Art Museum. It's part of the Arts Café Mystic Literature and Music series.

Along with Gibson as the featured voice, an array of guest poets from the anthology will take part. They include Aaron Caycedo-Kimura, Luisa Caycedo-Kimura, Catherine DeNunzio, Louis Gabordi, Benjamin Grossberg, Susan Kinsolving, Susannah Lawrence, Lana Orphanides, Vivian Shipley, and Christie Max Williams. And providing the musical component for the experience will be Luke and Mike.

"Green Poetry Café" with Margaret Gibson and Friends, Arts Café Mystic, 5 p.m. Sunday with doors opening at 4:30 p.m., outdoors at Mystic Museum of Art, 9 Water St., Mystic; $15, $5 students; theartscafemystic.org or email info@theartscafemystic.org.
