Chocolate cheer in Chester

Chester will host a Chocolate Festival in the town center on Sunday, the last day of the town’s Holiday Market. Not only will visitors find chocolate to eat (from a 7-foot-long brownie at Lark to Curly Girl chocolate surprises at The Red Pepper), they also will find a chocolates display to paint at Maple & Main Gallery, with sketching instructor Jan Blencowe on hand. And at Lori Warner Gallery, watch Priscilla Martel demonstrate the art of chocolate. Martel was co-owner of Restaurant du Village in Chester and is now a food consultant and cookbook writer.

The Chocolate Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free. Free parking is available in two nearby public parking lots. More info at Facebook.com/ChesterSundayMarket and Facebook.com/VisitChesterCT.
