Lady Gaga comes to Mohegan Sun Thursday and Saturday

Lady Gaga has been making a comeback as of late. She somewhat fell off the rails with her 2013 album “Artpop” but now seems to have gotten back on track with her stripped down take on pop heard in “Joanne" — her newest album inspired by her late aunt of the same name. While Gaga has never gone completely irrelevant, her newly released Netflix documentary "Five Foot Two," has helped bring her back into the limelight while also helping to recultivate her allure, which she so masterfully developed in her earlier years of fame.

With that in mind, there seems to be a lot of anticipation circling around her “Joanne World Tour,” which will be hitting Mohegan Sun tonight, a day earlier than the original planned date. As witnessed in her documentary, Gaga, has had to make tweaks to her tour schedule (she cut out the entire European leg, for example), due to the chronic pain that she has been battling since a hip injury in 2013.

Still, even through all that, she has refused to let up, and we’re sure that witnessing her energy and conviction to never back down will be a spectacle. She’ll mostly perform singles from “Joanne,” which will include “John Wayne” and “Perfect Illusion,” interspersed with her biggest hits such as “Poker Face,” “The Edge of Glory,” “Born This Way” and “Alejandro.”

Lady Gaga, 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Saturday, Mohegan Sun Arena; $50-$400; 1-800-745-3000.
