Miss America comes to Mohegan Sun this year, making the Sun just the third location where the 99-year event has taken place. (It has previously been in Atlantic City and Las Vegas.)

The finals happen at 8 p.m. Dec. 19, for which tickets start at $100, but there are events leading up to the big night.

The 51 contestants will appear at a 5 p.m. arrival ceremony Thursday at Mohegan Sun, and that is free and open to the public.

There are preliminary nights from 7-10 p.m. Dec. 15 and 16 in the Earth Expo & Conventional Center. Tickets start at $75 for those.

There will be a tribute show to Miss America 2019 Nia Franklin from 8 to 10 p.m. Dec. 17 in the Cabaret Theatre. Tickets are $25. Just before that, there will be a Miss America Autograph Session 6-7:30 p.m. with Tribute Show ticket-holders getting priority.

And that all leads up to the finals, which will be held in the Arena and will be broadcast live on NBC. There is also a red carpet session from 6 to 7 p.m., right before the finals, at the Arena Sky Entrance, and it’s free and open to the public.
