What DOESN’T Sailfest have?

This annual festival features amusement rides, vendors, food, craft beer, music, a road race, and, of course, its iconic fireworks display.

Vendors will line the downtown New London streets, selling everything from handmade crafts to art to jewelry.

Sunday brings the Sailfest 5K road race. The walking portion kicks off at 8:30 a.m. and the running at 9 a.m., with the events starting and ending in front of Union Station. Folks can register via runsignup.com, and the cost is $30 ($35 on Sunday).

If the activities make you hungry, good news: You can buy all sorts of food at Sailfest, whether it’s lobster rolls or fried dough.

And to wash all that down, you can sidle up to the beer tent at Parada Plaza, where craft brews will be sold, along with Twisted Tea and Truly hard seltzer.
