Art, music, food and family fun are the focus of the Midsummer Festival in Old Lyme, which happens this weekend.

The festivities, most of which happen along Lyme Street, kick off on Friday with a free concert by the Savage Brothers at 7 p.m. on the Florence Griswold Museum lawn.

Then, Saturday boasts a wide array of events.

A classic car show runs 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Connecticut Audubon Society’s Roger Tory Peterson Estuary Center at 100 Lyme Street. The show is held by the Lyme-Old Lyme Lions Club.

Pups and pooches are the focus of Parading Paws Dog Show, which begins at 10:45 a.m. on the Florence Griswold Museum’s lawn. Awards will be given out, for everything from best trick to best smile. Registration starts at 10 a.m.

Kids-focused activities will take place on the Old Lyme Inn lawn.

The Old Lyme Inn lawn is also where the “Midsummer Fence Artists” will hold their art sale and demonstrations.

Art exhibitions can be seen at the Florence Griswold Museum, Lyme Art Association and Studio 80+ Sculpture Founds, while the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts will feature student works and demonstrations.
